Aspen Real Estate and Snowmass Real Estate along with Pitkin County as a whole have seen an increase in activity so far in 2011 according to Land Title in Aspen. Total Sales dollars has increased 52% to $84,137,903 in total dollars. Total transactions have increased 59% over last year to 78 transactions, for January 2011. For January, Aspen had nearly $44 million in sales; Snowmass Village had $22.6 million; interval units in Pitkin County amounted to $10.1 million; Basalt had $5.9 million; Old Snowmass had $640,000; quit claims were $466,390 and Carbondale was $333,000. Average single family home price decreased 4% to $4.16 million when compared to the average single family price of the entire 2010.
January showed the highest dollar volume since June 2010 and highest transaction activity since February 2009 for fractional ownership sales. Dollar volume for fractional ownership was an impressive 77% increase from January 2010 to $10,149,554. Total Fractional Ownership transactions increased a whopping 310% from January 2010 to 41 transactions.
