The largest purchase was that of an Owl Creek Ranch home for twenty million five hundred thousand dollars. It comprises of a 12,500 sq. ft. home on 77 acres and is known as the Black Bear Ranch. The buyer is Antony Ressler and the seller is Ranch Mariana LLC.
Other sales included an Aspen Highland ski-in, ski-out home for fourteen million dollars located right on Thunderbowl. An Aspen Mountain ski-in, ski-out home sold for fourteen million fifty thousand dollars to Icie Jackson LLC. A Maroon Creek Home sold to Sundance Aspen LLC for eleven million two hundred fifty thousand dollars. And Jonathan Lewis bought the Given’s Institute site for thirteen million eight hundred thousand from the University of Colorado. Upon closing, Jonathan Lewis tore down the structure that was the Given’s Institute.
January through April 2011 sales are up 8.5% over the same period in 2010. Foreclosure or bank owned properties represent only 4.4% of the sales dollars to date. Year to date the average Aspen home price is up 2% over all of 2010. Fractional properties have increased 67% in sales units so far this year with 95 units.
