A buyer broker will look at all listings that meet your criteria, not just push their or their office listings. Also, a buyer broker will want to get you the best price possible and will tell you to make a lower offer first because you can always raise the offer from there. A Buyer Broker will then also review all the terms of the offer with you. It is important that the buyer understands all of their rights when they sign the purchase contract. A buyer broker does want to make sure that everything is straightforward and honest going forward with the offer.
Most Aspen and Snowmass real estate agents or brokers are transaction brokers or selling brokers. Transaction brokers represent no ones interests and only look out for putting the deal together themselves. Transaction brokers by Colorado law do not have any liability to the seller or buyer.
